Stumptown Ventures LLC ("Company", "we", "us") operates the Prediction Pilot platform ("Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and name (via our authentication provider, Clerk). We do not store passwords — authentication is handled entirely by Clerk.

Kalshi API Credentials: If you enable live trading, you provide your Kalshi API key and private key. These are encrypted with AES-256 (Fernet symmetric encryption) before storage and are used exclusively to communicate with the Kalshi API on your behalf.

Trading Data: We store records of trades placed by the bot (tickers, prices, quantities, timestamps, and settlement outcomes) in our database to display your dashboard and calculate performance metrics.

Configuration Data: Your trading parameters (price ranges, position sizes, risk limits, etc.) are stored in our database.

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or bank account details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.

Usage Data: We collect standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security monitoring and service improvement.

2. How We Use Your Information

Providing the Service: executing trades, displaying your dashboard, sending trade alerts
Account management: authentication, billing, customer support
Service improvement: analyzing usage patterns to improve features (aggregated, not individual)
Communications: transactional emails (trade alerts, billing notifications), product updates (you may opt out)
Security: detecting and preventing unauthorized access, fraud, and abuse

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:

Kalshi: your API credentials are used to execute trades on your behalf via the Kalshi API
Clerk: authentication provider — processes your login credentials
Stripe: payment processor — processes subscription payments
Resend: email provider — sends transactional emails on our behalf
Railway: hosting provider — our infrastructure runs on Railway's servers

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

4. Data Security

Kalshi API credentials are encrypted with AES-256 before storage
API keys for dashboard access are stored as SHA-256 hashes (not reversible)
All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
Database connections use SSL encryption
We follow security best practices including rate limiting, input validation, and security headers

No system is 100% secure. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

Account data: retained while your account is active, deleted upon request
Trading data: retained while your account is active for dashboard display
API credentials: deleted immediately upon account deletion or credential removal
Server logs: retained for up to 30 days for security purposes

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data stored in our systems
Correct inaccurate personal data
Delete your account and associated data
Export your trading data
Opt out of non-essential communications

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (via Clerk). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

9. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
